How to Choose Your Next Long-Term Game
A simple framework for choosing a main game without getting trapped by launch-week excitement.

Choose the loop, not the logo
The easiest mistake is choosing a long-term game because the announcement trailer made you feel something. The better move is to inspect the weekly loop you will actually repeat.
Ask what you want from the next six months. Social raid nights? Solo exploration? Crafting mastery? Competitive ladders? The answer changes the recommendation.
Three questions before you commit
- What will I do on an ordinary Tuesday?
- Can I miss two weeks and still return comfortably?
- Does the community make the game better for me?
Long-term games are relationships with systems. Pick one whose rhythm fits the life you have.
