Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a permanent price drop on August 6, new DLC bundles revealed

Capcom has announced a permanent MSRP reduction for the base game of Monster Hunter Wilds, alongside a major restructuring of its available purchase options and DLC bundles. According to a report by RPG Site, these changes are scheduled to take effect on August 4, 2026, at 12:00 am UTC (August 3 at 5:00 pm PDT).

The update aims to simplify the purchasing process for incoming players by retiring older bundles and introducing consolidated packages that include post-launch cosmetic content.

Price Cut and Discontinued Bundles

Starting August 4, 2026, the base version of Monster Hunter Wilds will receive a permanent price drop. Alongside this MSRP reduction, Capcom will discontinue several existing digital editions and bundles. The products slated for removal from digital storefronts include:

• Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition
• Monster Hunter Wilds Premium Deluxe Edition
• Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Pass

Players who already own any of these discontinued bundles will retain full access to their content after the August 4 deadline. Additionally, Capcom has confirmed that individual DLC items and packs contained within these retired bundles will remain available for purchase on an individual basis.

New Bundles and Cosmetic Collections

To replace the outgoing options, Capcom is introducing a streamlined selection of bundles on or after August 4, 2026.

The premier new offering is the Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition, which packages the main game together with a new Cosmetic DLC Collection. This collection will also be sold separately and features:

• Cosmetic DLC Packs 1–4
• The Festival of Accord DLC Packs (Blossomdance, Flamefete, Dreamspell, and Lumenhymn)
• The Deluxe Pack
• The new Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack, which bundles select paid cosmetic DLC previously sold as standalone products.

In a statement detailed by RPG Site, Capcom explained the decision behind the storefront reorganization: "To streamline the available options for new hunters joining Monster Hunter Wilds, we are discontinuing select existing bundles and introducing a new bundle that includes the cosmetic DLC released since launch." The publisher added, "Thank you for your continued support for Monster Hunter Wilds."
