Mortal Shell 2 sells out of physical Revered Edition PS5 pre-orders as players rush to buy the highly-anticipated game on disc

Pre-orders for the physical Revered Edition of Mortal Shell 2 on PlayStation 5 have completely sold out across multiple retailers, following stronger-than-expected player demand for disc copies of the upcoming Soulslike title.

Priced at £55 ($70), the Revered Edition is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 platform. Notably for physical media collectors, the PlayStation 5 is the only platform offering a physical disc release for Mortal Shell 2, meaning players on other platforms have no physical copy options.

Publisher Confirms High Demand

Publisher Playstack addressed the sell-out status, confirming that retail allocations had been exhausted well ahead of launch due to overwhelming interest from buyers.

"Demand for the PS5 physical Revered Edition of Mortal Shell 2 has exceeded expectations and unfortunately supply across a number of retailers has now been fully reserved," Playstack stated on X.

Release Window and Restock Status

With Mortal Shell 2 scheduled to launch in slightly less than one month from July 22, 2026, it is uncertain whether fans will get another chance to pre-order a disc copy before release day.

According to reporting by Eurogamer, there is currently no guarantee that additional stock of the PS5 physical edition will be produced or distributed prior to the game's official release.
