One excellent, unforgettable expansion has fixed Doom: The Dark Ages

The campaign expansion Doom: The Dark Ages | Revelations launched on July 7, 2026, introducing the new Chain Spear weapon, expanded puzzle levels, and a free update to the base game's arena challenge mode. The $19.99 expansion is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is included at no extra charge for owners of the Doom: The Dark Ages Premium Edition or Collector's Bundle.

In coverage of the add-on, PC Gamer reported that the release "singlehandedly redeems the low point of the trilogy."

New Arsenal and Campaign Features

Revelations builds on the core game by adding the Chain Spear, a multi-purpose tool designed to dismantle enemies, reflect incoming bullets, and grapple to ledges. The campaign expansion also introduces new demon types, deeper environmental puzzles, and additional story mysteries.
