Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Switch Update 1.0.3 Is Now Live

Nintendo has deployed Version 1.0.4 for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on Nintendo Switch, addressing critical progression bugs and save file stability issues. Released on July 22, 2026, the update follows a series of post-launch patches for the life simulation title since its arrival on the system in April 2026, including a previous Version 1.0.3 update in June 2026.

According to reporting by Nintendo Life, the latest update prioritizes preventing game-breaking crashes alongside visual tweaks to island shopfronts and attractions.

Fixing Save Corruption and Game Crashes

The most significant fixes in Version 1.0.4 target stability problems that previously prevented players from advancing their island life. Nintendo addressed a rare issue linked to the Island Builder tool where save data could become corrupted, leaving players unable to launch the game in later sessions.

Additionally, the patch resolves an error that triggered whenever players finished resolving a Mii character's concerns. Previously, completing these requests could cause an error that forced the game to close, halting progress.

Visual Fixes and General Improvements

Beyond crash resolutions, the update cleans up several visual bugs across the island's facilities and shops:

• Clothing Shop Posters: Fixed an issue where Mii characters displayed on posters inside the clothing shop failed to render correctly.
